Introduction

D-Quest Inc. and D-Quest Holdings Inc. (collectively, “DQ Group”) may obtain the personal data of customers when responding to inquiries or providing our services.
As a consulting organization that handles many types of information, DQ Group strives to protect personal data and provide its customers with reliability and peace of mind.
DQ Group complies with all laws related to personal data and handles such data appropriately.

1. Acquiring personal data

DQ Group acquires personal data properly and never through deception or other fraudulent means.

2. Using personal data

DQ Group uses personal data within the scope needed to achieve the following purposes of use.

If we use personal data for purposes other than those listed below, we will obtain prior consent from the owner of the data.

  1. For tasks related to the provision of our products or services, such as verifying the usage status of a service, shipping a product, or general housekeeping
  2. As information related to payments for business transactions with our company
  3. For transactions with our company or to send information about our products or services

3. Managing the safety of personal data

DQ Group will take the necessary and appropriate steps to safely manage the personal data it handles and to prevent its unauthorized disclosure, loss, or destruction.

4. Outsourcing personal data

If DQ Group outsources all or part of the handling of personal data to a third party, it will conduct a stringent investigation of that third party and supervise it as appropriate to ensure that the outsourced personal data is managed safely.

5. Providing personal data to a third party

DQ Group will not provide personal data to a third party without obtaining consent from its owner in advance, except in cases prescribed by the Personal Information Protection Act or other legislation.

6. Disclosing or amending personal data

If the disclosure, correction (addition or deletion), suspension of use (or erasure), stop disclosing to third parties, and the purpose of use are requested for the data subject's personal data, DQ Group will handle it without delay.
Please understand that it is required to verify whether you are the data subject or your representative or not.
If there is an error in personal data and its owner requests that it be amended, supplemented, or deleted, we will promptly comply with that request after investigating the issue. However, we will not take such action if we cannot verify that the individual is the owner of the personal data.

Policy Changes

The contents of this policy are subject to change.
Except in cases established separately by DQ Group, changes to this policy will go into effect once they are posted on this website.

Confidentiality Policy

We properly manage the information provided to us by clients and maintain its confidentiality. We maintain strict confidentiality from the time we are first consulted then further reinforce it by entering into a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) when we provide our services. We continually fulfill our duty to maintain confidentiality so that our clients can have peace of mind when providing us with information in any situation.

We do this because we recognize the importance of our clients trusting us enough to provide the information we need to support them properly. We also enter into confidentiality agreements with our alliance partners to ensure the privacy of our clients.

The following information that we receive from clients when performing our investigation services is treated as strictly confidential.

  • Information related to the investigation (including personal data)
  • Important management-related information such as business plans, business know-how, marketing data, and information about intellectual-property rights
  • Information related to organizations, personnel, and financial management
  • Information related to transactions with customers
  • Other information specified by the client

However, the following items are not considered confidential information.
Information on which we received permission to disclose by the client beforehand.
Information that was already public knowledge at the time the client disclosed them, or things that can be lawfully obtained from a third party

DQ Group's Privacy Management Environment

DQ Group has assigned a manager to each division or department that handles information related to or received from clients (including personal data); these managers ensure that such information is properly managed.
Access to DQ Group's facilities is monitored 24 hours a day by a major security company and recorded using video cameras.
Passive infrared sensors (temperature sensors) are installed inside DQ Group's facilities to continuously monitor unauthorized access after the facilities have been locked.
DQ Group secures information related to or received from clients (including personal data) in special locking cabinets, which are monitored and recorded by video cameras 24 hours a day.
